About the Wethersfield Police Department


The Wethersfield Division of Police, under the leadership of Chief Rafael Medina III, is state and nationally accredited, operating from a state-of-the-art facility at 250 Silas Deane Highway. In addition to normal police service, the department maintains a Marine Patrol Unit, Special Response Teams (Dive Team and Tactics), a School Resource Officer (SRO) at the High School and Middle School, DARE Youth Drug Awareness Program, a Motorcycle Unit, a Bicycle Unit and a Police Cadet Program.

The Wethersfield Police Department will deliver effective and responsible law enforcement and community based services to all citizens of the Town and the State of Connecticut in a fair and equitable manner and will partner with the community to make Wethersfield a better place to live in, visit, raise a family, and conduct business.
